VENETIAN AND DECORATIVE PLASTERS IN MOTION
FEATURED FINISH: VENETIAN PLASTER STRIPE
We always say that preparation is key: Taping stripes is one of the most highly skilled parts of an advanced finish like this, and if the taping is even slightly out of level, so is the completed work.
Layering the plaster is the next step, and also requires advanced skill and experience.
Pulling the tape must be done with great patience and care.
Layering of black venetian plaster
This is called a skim coat, a final coat of plaster which simultaneously burnishes the layers, creating a sheen on the stone surface underneath.
We used a plumb line to effect a linear look to this white venetian plaster. See the entire finished project in the video below!

Our signature “Hollywood Lace” technique, where plaster is pulled through a custom lace pattern to create an incredibly rich, textured, one of a kind finish.
This is a metallic plaster with chinoiserie stencil by Modello Royal Design Studio on top. Modello can create literally thousands of custom stencils suited to your taste and style, and we know how to render them expertly.
