15 Feb Crumbled Plaster and Harlequins
Sometimes words are just not enough. As they say, pictures are worth a thousand words. Our latest project is truly an example of that saying. Our client wanted her guests to feel like they were dining in an Old World Tuscan inn. So, we custom mixed three plasters to create a crumbled plaster finish with exposed stones. We created the stones with a different plaster and then individual painted each stone to create a real authentic look. The stones are so authentic that it begs you to walk over and touch.
And of course, it would not be a Faux Time Design job without at least one ceiling! We glazed the ceiling in a beautiful subtle tone on tone to complement the walls. We also rendered a custom decorative embellishment around the chandelier with copper gilding to match the chandelier.
We also rendered a beautiful harlequins and a metallic glaze to a powder room. The simplicity of this finish created a beautiful backdrop that warmed the room and worked seamlessly with the tumbled marble.
