Always up for a challenge to further the boundaries of our award winning ceiling work, we took on the entry foyer.  Tony Manning of Mitchell Manning and Associates, drawing inspiration from the grand entry foyers of European country houses, charged us with the aspiration to create an illusion of cracked celadon glass.  With the assistance of a cherry picker and two scaffolds, we reached the 36 foot high, cove-lit dome and carefully hand applied five layers of subtle pigmented hues and iridescence.  We were so thrilled to render the coup de gras which galvanized this stunning foyer inspired by Japanese inspired wallpaper, a grand crystal chandelier and classic English furniture…the perfect combination of eclectic old world style.

For the Living Room, we worked with Jennifer McGee of Jennifer McGee Design to help her create a space that reflects her signature style as “elegant, classical, and masterfully mixed.”  The Faux Time Design team rendered a beautiful gilded finish on the molding and a vintage gold leaf ceiling for the backdrop to the beautiful chandelier.

In the laundry room, Sharon Sherman of Thyme & Place Design once again made her mark.  Known for creating timeless luxury for kitchens and bathrooms, she is noted for matching design solutions to the needs and taste of her clients and the laundry room was another beautiful example of her accolades.  Our team created a trompe l’oeil tin ceiling that mirrored the beautiful intricate design from the floor tiles.

The Master Bedroom and Master Sitting Room was designed by Elizabeth Humphrey of Chatham Interiors.  The space reflects the personalities of the young owners of this spectacular home.  To help create a feel that mixed the new contemporary items with period pieces, Elizabeth asked our team to create a unique ceiling design.  The simple, yet elegant feel of this design enveloped the chandelier and created a beautiful entry.

For the Bedroom II, we were thrilled to work with acclaimed interior designer, Jodie O’Connor of Jodie O’Designs.  She is known for her distinct combination of traditional appeal with contemporary overtones — a feel that was evident throughout this enchanting space.  Our team at Faux Time Design enjoyed this unique challenge, beautifully rendering a signature hand-painted ceiling design that replicated the graceful feathers from the elegant wallpaper and crystal chandelier.

The 2017 Showhouse will benefit the Department of Patient Care: Patient Experience at Hackensack University Medical Center. Tickets may be purchased at the door.  Check the Showhouse Facebook page for details at http://bit.ly/2zpAz0Q.
